Castroviejo – Soria

Castroviejo SoriaDriving from Duruelo of the Sierra Peaks Urbion about 7 kms, there is a unique landscape: one Soria “enchanted city” stone where you can breathe a huge peace and tranquility.

The beautiful and unusual forms acquired by rocks, punctuated by black pine and Scots, make this site a place unique to this area of pine forests of Soria. It is imperative your visit, strolling through its stone statues, along its byways and to read or have a snack in the numerous wooden benches have been placed there.  [leer mas]

The Canyon del Rio Lobos

Cañon del Rio LobosEach time you return to this place you find something new, something different as I had not noticed the time before. At this juncture has been a magnificent balcony, excavated in the rock, in which you poke her back to the hermitage of San Bartolome and you can admire a fantastic view of the canyon inico.

Wolf River Canyon belongs to the municipalities of Pinar Hontoria (Burgos), San Leonardo de Yagüe, Casarejos, Santa Maria de las Hoyas, Herrera de Soria, Nafría of Ucero and Ucero (all of Soria), and was declared a Natural Park  [leer mas]

Autumn in Isla Dos Aguas

Isla Dos AguasIt has survived the cold, but until quite a few days was a delight to walk in the park Isla Dos Aguas de PALENCIA at sunset, both the mild temperatures as the hues of nature.

Palencia will have fame by cold (included jokes with blankets Palencia and the two stations – winter and rail) but for me as characteristic are the cold winters as the goodness of their autumns. It is as if to give us enough time to acclimatise to the next station. Anyway, be seized until the last ray of sunshine …  [leer mas]

La Laguna Negra – Soria

La Laguna NegraAfter a short holiday on the Costa Brava and the Aran Valley, return to the business blog with some pictures later this summer on land did Soria. The Black Lagoon even a recurring theme of all tours, is a landscape so spectacular that we resist the temptation to photograph him again and again. The last, had been in May 2005 with reason, a Marcha del Club Espigüete, we got to the Picos de Urbion where far too cold to snow but not.  [leer mas]

Navarre Bardenas

bardenas-reales-03The first thing you teach the locals when you get to Valtierra, point of entry to the park, it is not said but Bardenas Bárdenas, as it is written without an accent from appearing in the early writings of the Middle Ages, but subsequently has been used to accent. From a Natural Park 1999 and was declared a Biosphere Reserve in 2000.

It is located southeast of Navarra,Aragon is bounded on the east and does not belong to any people but the bordering region of Navarre. To better understand the size, you have 45 kms from North to South and 24 kms from east to west. It is a natural semi-desert where the soil is made of clay, gypsum and sandstone that have SISO erosianadas by wind and rain, gullies formed and capricious forms as Castideterra, emblem of the park.

What differentiates these fertile lands of the region that surrounds (Ebro Valley) the weather is not so much (half a liter per square meter per year of rainfall) but the quality of soils. These are brackish in many areas and also the clay and plaster that make up impermeable layer which promotes the creation of gullies. The other layers alternating with hard as sandstone or limestone erosion makes the figures form caprochoso.

In mid-September 2009 attended a photography workshop Fotonatura hand showed us these places, can take pictures from sunrise to sunset.

Misleading comparisons ?

The struggle between the Canon and Nikon users about which brand is best, is not new and will continue to fill many pages in magazines and the internet. For me, the conclusion is always so clear and obvious: in a camera / objectives is best one, and other the other. But for some magazines seems to be no.

In this short article I want to draw attention to the deception of some comparative read in photography magazines on the market. Whether by “lightness” technique, Covert advertising is, If they can confuse the potential buyer of goodwill.

A demonstration of this we have in a popular magazine: Digital Camera, in its October issue 09 presents the comparative 4 objectives fixed focal length of 50mm and 1.4. To keep things simple, I'm only on the objectives of Canon and Nikon, which are left in the first place, but the reasoning is also valid for the other two: Sigma and Sony.

After a series of comments without any technical objectification, give the punctuation (of 0 a 5)in which they rely to decide the best:

As can be seen, differ only in 1 punto. In construction and management are alternately, one better than the other, but as they are difficult to objectify valuations we concentrate on the “pointo” difference, that occur in the Image Quality (Canon better than Nikon),and that if it is very quantifiable.

Who is the “guru” of comparative photographs ? In my opinion the best DPreView, whose pages are in English but to the dismay of Hispanics, offer a very juicy and informative articles technically speaking. What do they say about ?

The analysis makes both CANON as NIKON are detailed impresonantemente, and comparative graphs, though they may be technically complex, are very easy to understand:

Comparativa Objetivos Canon Nikon

CANON - NIKON

The graphics of each chamber are interpreted as:

Left half: Simulates the left half of the camera sensor: with its center and two corners.
Naranja significa poca nitidez, good and excellent blue green, for focal length of 1.8.

Right half above: Curve is clearly, center-to-end. The above best.

Right half down: Curves are the chromatic aberration (rojo y azul). The lower the better.

It is based on these data give analysts in dpreview Canon Image Quality 8 y a Nikon 8,5 both scored over 10. Who to believe ?

Are they really useful to the user these comparisons, when one can only choose the target brand of camera you already have ? If you still were Camparada with Tamiya or Sigma Tanron …. would be meaningless. But of course, compare these with Canon or Nikon will already know what the best and that will be both more expensive.

In the end, I'll keep going to the pages of DPreView, and if not what I'm, or is that just came out or not really worth Menec in-depth analysis.
